Saturday 12 July saw the team called to assist Wellington Free Ambulance with the recovery of an injured person in the Akatarawa Forest Park. After a long cold night in the bush for our quad team, and a long night in our mobile operations centre caravan for our radio operators, the injured person was successfully airlifted out by the Westpac Rescue chopper on Sunday morning.
